GABABABABA

Leaving Seattle.

SO I AM LEAVING SEATTLE AND THERE IS SO MUCH FOR ME TO DO TOMORROW BECAUSE THAT IS THE DAY I'M PLANNING ON DRIVING DOWN TO PORTLAND TO SPEND A DAY OR TWO WITH MY FRIENDS AND NEW TEAMMATES BEN CHADDOCK AND QUINN KEOGH BUT I REALLY HAVEN'T PUT MANY THINGS INSIDE MY TRUCK ALTHOUGH I DID GET ITS TIRE FIXED AS WELL AS GET THE THING UP TO PLUM NEAR 70 MPH ON I-5 THE OTHER DAY (5TH GEAR YO!) SO I'M PRETTY CONFIDENT IT WILL MAKE THE TRIP OVER TO PORTLAND AND ULTIMATELY TO BOISE WHERE I'LL LIVE THROUGH THE SEASON WHICH SHOULD BE AWESOME BECAUSE BOISE IS A GREAT PLACE TO RIDE AND THE MOUNTAIN BIKING SHOULD BE KILLER WHAT WITH MY NEW FELT 29'ER ON THE WAY BUT NEVERTHELESS I'M STILL GOING TO MISS SEATTLE EVEN THOUGH THE WEATHER HERE CAN SUCK AT TIMES LIKE BIG TIME ESPECIALLY TONIGHT ON MY WAY TO CYCLE U WHEN IT PISSED FREEZING RAIN ON ME A WHOLE LOT WHICH REALLY REMINDED ME THAT I DON'T ACTUALLY LIKE RIDING IN THE RAIN EVEN THOUGH I LOVE RACING IN THE RAIN BECAUSE I TEND TO DO WELL UNLESS IT'S A CRIT IN WHICH CASE I TEND TO CRASH LIKE I DID AT MOUNT HOOD BUT ANYWAY I EVENTUALLY ARRIVED AT CYCLE U AND ROCKED BACK TO BACK INCYCLE CLASSES AND SET A NEW SEASON-BEST FOR MY 20-MINUTE POWER WHICH MEANS BOTH THAT I'M GETTING STRONGER AND THAT I'LL MISS CYCLE U BIG TIME BECAUSE IT'S BEEN SUCH AN INTEGRAL PART OF MY LIFE AS WELL AS SUCH AN AMAZING PLACE TO GROW AND DEVELOP AS A CYCLIST AND I CAN SAY WITH A GREAT DEGREE OF CONFIDENCE THAT I WOULD NEVER HAVE HAD THE SEASON I DID LAST YEAR WITHOUT GETTING MY JOB AT CYCLE U SO THANKS CYCLE U AND THE CYCLE U COMMUNITY FOR HELPING ME ACHIEVE MY DREAM OF BEING A PROFESSIONAL CYCLIST WHICH IS PRETTY AWESOME IF YOU STOP AND THINK ABOUT IT BUT IT ALSO MEANS THAT I LEAVE SEATTLE WHICH IS SAD BECAUSE I LOVE SEATTLE AND I HAVE SO MANY FRIENDS HERE IN SEATTLE LIKE THE RACERS ON THE KELLER ROHRBACK TEAM WHO I SHALL MISS DEARLY BUT ALL IN ALL THIS IS A GOOD THING MOVING TO BOISE AND IT'S WHAT I WANT AND IT'S NOT LIKE I'M MOVING TO BRAZIL AND LIVING IN A HUT -- I'LL HAVE THE POWER OF THE INTERNET AT MY FINGERTIPS AND THE SPEED OF LIGHTNING IN MY LEGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sad to see you leave the rainy confines of the 206, TallSam, but we will sharpen axes, fashion scimitars, and hunt pterodactyls like woolie mammoths right soon. COME VISIT US IN THE RAINFOREST SOON!

I am with Ian on this one, although my quiver is thinner than his and you need to post much of what you are doing here so we mere amateurs can live vicariously through your exploits.

Sam--is it weird that I think this actually one of your best (read: truest) posts ever? I don't it's weird that I think so, and I don't think you think it's weird that I think so either.

There's always another big adventure, and this next one sounds pretty big (and adventurous!).
